Advance Bookings
Advance Bookings of Media Commons audiovisual material, for
classroom/teaching use, may be made in person, by telephone at (416)
978-6521, by fax at (416) 978-8707 or by email at media.commons@utoronto.ca. You may also complete our OnLine Booking Request form
Programs not found in the Media Commons audiovisual collection can
often be obtained from other sources given sufficient lead time. A
minimum of 10 working days notice is needed to complete these
arrangements. Any costs associated with these services are charged back
to the borrower's department.
Equipment & Screening Facilities
The Media Commons maintains screening facilities for both individual and group access. Room capacities vary from 6 to 50. Advance Reservations recommended. Please contact us at 416-978-6521 or media.commons@utoronto.ca

Public Performance and Copyright
All audiovisual materials must be licensed for Classroom use at the University's three campuses. Many programs, especially non-cinema titles, are purchased with screening rights. Blanket licences with two major Canadian distributors facilitate many of the feature films for this purpose.
These screening rights do not extend to off-campus locations.
Current Canadian copyright legislation prohibits any reproduction or redistribution of audiovisual materials without permission of the copyright holder.

Course Reserves
Faculty can request that programs be placed on in-library reserve for course assignments and exam preparation. To request an in-library reserve, please contact the Media Commons by telephone at (416) 978-6521, by fax at (416) 978-8707 or by email at media.commons@utoronto.ca.
