The Media Commons has curated several successful exhibitions in the Robarts Library complex in recent years, including:

Moose, Mounties & Mayhem:Canadians on Screen, November 2010-January 3, 2011
This 2010 exhibition profiled the lives and careers of nearly four dozen Canadian entertainers, from the early days of silent film through the likes of Mack Sennett and Mary Pickford, to contemporary actors who have established themselves both domestically and internationally, including those currently recognized as some of the film world's "hottest stars".


 

Pick Up The Beat: Album Cover Art and Depictions of Popular Dance, 1948-1988
Nearly 200 album covers capturing dance moves from the 1940s through the 1980s were displayed at Robarts Library exhibition area in late 2005, creating quite a buzz among building residents young and "more mature".From waltzes and polkas to the disco craze of the 70s, the album covers provided a snapshot of pop culture through the decades.

 

NOW and the '80s: A Photographic Exhibition
This exhibition highlighted the original photographic images used in the pages of NOW Magazine during the 1980s, now housed in the NOW Magazine Collection in the Media Commons.
