In Library Viewing Facilities: Readers, Reader/Printers
We have microfilm/microfiche copiers and readers in the Media Commons reading room. Please note: during the 2009/2010 Academic Year, microfilm/microfiche facilities will be limited. Be prepared to adjust your research times to gain access to machines during slow periods. Copies cost 20 cents per page and require the use of a copy card. Media Commons staff are available at all times to assist users with accessing, viewing and printing microforms.
For specialized equipment, such as microprint reading, please consult Media Commons staff.
Borrowing & Reserving
The Microform collection is a closed stack collection. To access the collection, please complete a pink request form available at the Media Commons service desk. A staff member will retrieve the material for you. Please note: during the 2009/2010 Academic Year, Media Commons staff will not have immediate access to the Microform collection. Retrievals may be batched on a regular collection basis. Some materials may require 24-hours lead time for retrieval. We apologize for any inconvenience. For ongoing access to your materials, Media Commons staff will gladly place your microforms on Hold for the duration of your research.
The collection is open to everyone. Some restrictions may apply.
Microfilm and microfiche monographs and CD-ROM's may circulate out of Microform to patrons with a valid UofT library card. The regular loan period is two weeks. All other material must be viewed in the reading room.
