Business Hours: Monday – Friday 8:30am – 4:00pm
Research Hours (By Appointment Only): Monday – Friday 9:00am – 3:00pm

The Media Commons facilities, including microtext readers, study areas, DVD & Blu-ray viewing stations, and screening rooms, are available to use any time Robarts is open. For assistance with these facilities outside of Media Commons business hours, please visit the Loans & Information desk on the first floor of Robarts Library.

2022 Holiday Closures: May 23 (Victoria Day), June 30 (University Holiday), July 1 (Canada Day), August 1 (Civic Holiday), September 5 (Labour Day), October 10 (Thanksgiving), December 21-30 (Christmas Holiday Break).

Visiting Us

The Media Commons Archive is located on the 3rd floor of the John P. Robarts Research Library, between Sussex Avenue and Harbord Streets on the west side of St. George Street. We are open by appointment only. Please contact an archivist with your research requests and to book an appointment.

TTC/Public Transportation: 

  • Subway: Take Line 1 (Yonge-University) or Line 2 (Bloor-Danforth) to St. George subway station. Exit at the St. George Street end and walk two blocks south on St. George Street. Robarts Library is a 5-minute walk from St. George station: Walking Directions 
  • Bus: The 94 Wellesley bus, stops at the corners of Hoskin/Harbord and St. George Streets (Google Map). Robarts Library is across the street. 
  • Streetcar: The 510 Spadina streetcar, stops at the Harbord Street stop. Robarts Library is a 3-minute walk away from the Harbord Street stop: Walking Directions 

By Car:  

Street parking is limited in the immediate area surrounding Robarts Library. However, there are two underground parking garages located across the street from the library and a short walk away.
