Microform Collections

Finding aids/guides exist for many of the Microform Collections.    Please ask Media Commons staff.

Special note regarding finding aids for Central and Eastern European Collections.  The Petro-Jacyk Resource Centre (Robarts Library-3rd floor) has produced several finding aids, available at their website's Special Collections link

The Microform collection also includes University of Toronto Masters and PhD. dissertations on microfiche.

Viewing/Scanning Facilities

Digital microform scanners, equipped to handle microfilm, microfiche and microprint,  are available in the Media Commons Reading room.  Digital scans can be made to a USB storage device free of charge.  Printed copies cost 15-cents per page and require the use of a TCard/Copy card.  Media Commons staff is available at all times to assist.

Borrowing & Reserving

Reservations not required.  The collection is open to everyone, but only those with a valid TCard may borrow materials outside Media Commons. The regular loan period is two weeks.  Some restrictions may apply.
